Mothering

This isn’t about striving hard or doing more.

It’s about letting go and trusting.

Release  expectations and letting go of the “try harder, do more” mentality .

Let go. Give in. Ride the waves of change and growth.

Stop fighting. Breathe. Open your hands and heart to the wonder all around you.

Your children. Your life.

Capture it in your mind. In a snapshot. In words.

Open. Capture. Love.

Redeem the springtime of mothering. Season of no and not now. Learn to say no.

Don’t waste it. Leave space I your day for simple joys & spontaneity. Leave margins of time to focus on the heart’s of your children. Leave space in your life to just enjoy your Littles. Invest in their hearts. Seek out the glorious in the ordinary.

Seek the divine in the mundane.

Your awareness & care can transform ‘regular’ daily moments. Mindfulness marks moments.

If you only knew how much these little moments matter to your children.

Our children gives us the gift of slowing down, of becoming away of our movements & our emotions, and of appreciating the uniqueness of each moment. What gifts!

Become conscious of your activities, by regulating your daily lives in a harmonious, rhythmical way, by valuing what you do around your children. You are shaping their will forces & helping their physical bodies develop in as healthy ways as possible.

So,

Know what you are doing matters.

You matter

Home life matters. Being home matters. Being home with your children matters.

Do you feel being home isn’t enough?

How can it be a large career to tell other people about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one’s own children about the universe? How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone and narrow to be everything to someone? No, a woman’s function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute-G.K. Chesterton

Leading a company or a country is no greater or more important than leading a child.

Approach it with vision passion & purpose.

Mothering as a pleasure-not just a responsibility.

What is your vision for motherhood?

What are you passionate about in this role?

What do you want to accomplish in this one area?

How do you want to be remembered in this role?

What words do you hope will describe you?

If I were to go through one typical day with my children with this tender, bittersweet awareness of the fleetness & fragility of time in my heart, how would it change my life as a parent? The Simple Living Guide
